About The Department
Since its establishment in the year 2009, the Department of Mechanical Engineering has been offering B.E in Mechanical Engineering and M.E in Mechatronics Engineering at Agni College of Technology. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
The department of Mechanical Engineering focuses upon training its students with its team of well qualified and experienced faculty members and modern laboratories. The department has state of the art research facilities with a well-equipped research laboratory.

The Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering encompasses knowledge about science, maths, computing, machines, design, materials, manufacturing automation, energy and more.
Mechanical engineers are trained to work in a wide variety of industrial sectors and are no longer limited to the traditional automotive and manufacturing industries, and have extended to working in the field of nuclear technology, robotics, energy systems and even biomedical technology.
