AGNI - Texas Instruments
Agni College of Technology has established an Industry Driven Technology Center in association with Texas Instruments. The Texas Instruments Innovation lab has been designed around four key lab spaces: Gather, Idea, Innovate and Manufacture, which together can create an ecosystem of innovation where students across all disciplines can meet to be more creative and hone their technical and leadership skills. Texas Instruments also provide demo TI kits to create a wide variety of electronic designs.
AGNI-SYSTECH
Agni College of Technology in collaboration with Systech Solutions has set up an Employability Incubation Centre for empowering the students. AGNI-SYSTECH conducts various training programs to impart knowledge in the field of Data Sciences. It provides industry exposure which enhances the undergraduate’s worklife.
AGNI – IIHT
Agni College of Technology has established an Industry Driven Technology Centre in association with Insignia Infotech, a franchise of Indian Institute of Hexaware Technology for Training & Education in the field of Information Technology. Around 180 students are trained for CCNA certifications with dedicated 60 hrs per year. The motivation of Agni – IIHT is to organize a globally recognised CISCO Certification program within Agni Campus.
AGNI-SSI
Agni College of Technology in association with Science Society of India promotes and encourages young budding minds to be successful Scientific Researchers. Agni College of Technology is hosting the Indian Science & Engineering Fair (INSEF) both National and Regional (Chennai) in collaboration with SSI. The INSEF Fair is organized every year in the name of Agni INSEF National Fair and Agni INSEF Regional Fair. Final Winners of the fair will represent I-SWEEEP International Fair – USA on behalf of Agni INSEF.

AGNI – CS is extending a collaborative and supportive partnership framework in Industrial Consultancy Projects. Agni College of Technology in collaboration with LIVEWIRE has set up a Centre of Excellence in Electronic Design Automation which imparts an exclusive training program ElectroNIKS for First Year Electrical, Electronics & Computer Science Students free of cost. The training program helps the students to have a basic understanding of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and future trends in Electronic Design Automation Industries.
AGNI – CADD
Agni College of Technology has established an Industry Driven Technology Centre for Computer Aided Design and Drafting to impart an exclusive training program PLANCAT NEXT. The college has also set up an exclusive research lab for CADD training. AGNI – CADD through PLANCAT NEXT training program trains the first year students of all the departments to educate them on all aspects of Engineering Drawing. The main objective of PLANCAT NEXT is to create an awareness to the students regarding CADD, the current and future trends of CADD space, and its roles in Civil and Mechanical Engineering.

The M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) was established in 1988 by Professor M. S. Swaminathan. The Foundation aims to accelerate the use of modern agricultural practices for rural development and dissemination of technology to improve the lives and livelihoods of tribal and rural communities. MSSRF is engaged in research and implementation of projects which have large extrapolation domain in respect of imparting a pro-nature, pro-poor, pro-women, and pro-sustainable livelihood orientation of technology development and dissemination. ACT collaborates with MSSRF to promote and effectively use their resources to provide enhanced opportunities to the students who for Coastal Systems Research, Biodiversity and Biotechnology, Eco technology & Food security, Gender & development, and Informatics Projects.

AGNI - Niranjan Ultrasound India( P) Ltd
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Agni College of Technology and Niranjan Ultrasound India( P) Ltd was signed to set up a Centre of Excellence for Medical devices at the college premise.
Dr.SRR. Senthil Kumar, Principal, Agni College of Technology and Mr. Niranjan Kumar, Managing Director, Niranjan Ultrasound India Pvt Ltd, signed the MoU in the presence of Mr.S.Krishnan, Director Placement, Dr. Srinivasan Alavandar HOA, Dr.M.Kayalvizhi HOD BME and biomedical faculties on 09.03.2017 at the college campus. This MOU commits to work together towards the common goal of making biomedical engineers employable.
Key Highlights
- Students will get complete knowledge of biomedical equipment and enhance their research capability.
- The ultrasound machine was donated to the Principal. The inaugural usage of the equipment was performed by the Chairperson. The students are now encouraged to write research papers on ultrasound diagnosis.
- One day workshop and five days training program on Ultrasound was conducted for the students. At the end of the program Niranjan Ultrasound awarded the three best students based on performance.
- Biomedical India Pvt Ltd which is connected to several manufacturing companies like Philips, Samsung and Siemens promised to place a few of our students in the MNC company after the interview.
5 DAY TECHNICAL TRAINING BY NIRANJAN ULTRASOUND PVT. Ltd. FROM 17th July- 21st July 2017.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering organized a 5 day technical training, Field Graduation Program- Level 1, by Niranjan Ultrasound Pvt Ltd, Calicut from 17th July- 21st July 2017.
Seven trainers representing Niranjan Ultrasound were present to train the students in the application and servicing of the medical equipment.
17th July 2017- ECG, BP apparatus and Nebulizer- The students were introduced to servicing and troubleshooting of the machines.
18th July 2017- Centrifuge, Digital Thermometer, Ultrasound and Fetal Doppler- The principle, different types, advancements and working of the equipment was conferred.
19th July 2017- Pulse Oximeter, Glucometer, Digital Photo Colorimeter, Syringe Pump and Infusion Pump- The principle of operation, working and circuit diagrams of the mentioned equipment was briefed.
20th July 2017- Patient Monitor, Defibrillator, Spirometer- The various port connections were shown, working and safety measures were briefed and demonstrated.
21st July 2017- Surgical Diathermy, BIPAP with Humidifier- the working, sterilization and troubleshooting of the equipment were discussed.
The feedback of the students was positive saying that the training helped them gain immense practical exposure and understanding of the medical equipment in hospitals. The hands-on training helped boost their level of confidence and knowledge in the field of instrumentation.
AGNI - Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute
The Department of Biomedical Engineering jointly signed the MoU with Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute (SSSMCI) Chennai. The MoU was signed by our honourable Principal Dr.S.R.RSenthil Kumar and Dean, Prof P F Kotur SSSMCI on 20.07.2017 at the conference hall SSSMCI.
The MoU was signed in presence of Dr.Balaji, Vice Principal Student Affairs, Dr. K Karthiga, Vice Principal Academics, Dr.Raghuraman.R, Head Anesthesia of SSSMCI, Dr.M.Kayalvizhi Prof & Head of the Biomedical Department and Dr.S.Chandravandhana, Prof& Head of Mechatroncis. ACT-MADRAS ENT RESEARCH FOUNDATION

- Being at the forefront of the Cochlear Implant revolution in India, MERF has one of the largest caseloads with the best-equipped facilities in the field of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. This facility is utilised by both BME and EEE students.
- A Research Collaboration Agreement has been signed between MERF Institute of Speech and Hearing, Chennai and Agni Centre for Research & Development (“Agni CRD”),Agni College of Technology
- This MOU facilitates the student to have their internship training at MERF
- All aspects of clinical, research and teaching of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology have been brought under one roof and research proposals have also been initiated
- The students get exposure to complete professional services that are offered to patients with speech, language and hearing disorders using the latest advanced technologies.

An industrial visit was organized to MERF by II and III year students on 29.11.2016. The students were given a short tour of the labs on speech department, audiometry and cochlear implants.
A seminar on ‘Present and Future of ENT Instrumentation: Technology Perspective’ by Mr. R. Ranjith, Principal, MERF- Institute of Speech and Hearing, Chennai was conducted on 8/03/2016.
AGNI - ProPass Technologies
The department of Mechatronics Engineering has set up a Centre of Excellence in Microcontroller and PLC Programming, and a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed between Agni College of Technology and ProPass Technologies Engineering divison of SPARON Enterprises Pvt Ltd, Padi, Chennai on 26.05.2017.
The MoU was signed by the Principal Dr.S.R.R. Senthil Kumar in the presence of our Honorable Chairperson Mrs.Bhavani Jayaprakash, Dr.Srinivasa Alavandar, HOA and Dr. S.Chandravandhana, Prof & Head of Mechatroncis Engineering. The Director of the Company Mr.S.Srikanth and Mr.P.Muralidharan signed on behalf of Propass Technologies. The Company will support in Student Internship, Student Projects and Placements.
One batch of students are undergoing their industrial projects in the company namely design and fabrication of tool defect and conditioning machine. The students are trained in the respective fields and then made to execute their project.
AGNI – SVP Laser Technologies Pvt Ltd
The department of and Mechatronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering jointly signed on MoU with SVP LASER Technologies Pvt Ltd, Chennai. The MoU was signed in the presence of our honorable Chairperson Ms.Bhavani Jayaprakash, Dr.S.R.R Senthil Kumar – Principal, Dr.R.Karthikeyan – HOD Mechanical., Dr.Srinivasan Alavandar – HOA and Dr.S.Chandravadhana – HOD Mechatronics.
The Managing Director of the company Mr.Viswesh.S has extended a tie-up with the college for setting up a Center of Excellence in the field of Robotics to support student internships, projects & placements.
Two batches of Mechatronics Engineering are undergoing internships in the company and are currently executing an industrial project namely the CNC wire bending machine. After the completion of the project, the students will be ready to get placed in the core companies.
