At Agni, education is doing, more than reading. WIL offers students the confidence, skills, and real industry experience they'll need — both today and tomorrow.
WIL begins from the 2nd semester — ensuring students get early industry exposure throughout their entire academic journey at Agni College of Technology, Chennai.
Each WIL activity runs 4–8 weeks per semester, and 12 weeks in the final semester, covering all bachelor degree programs affiliated to Anna University.
Agni graduates enter the workforce not as freshers, but as qualified engineering professionals with demonstrable domain experience.
To integrate academic learning with practical work experiences to enhance students' understanding, skills, and application of knowledge in real-world industry settings.
To provide a work environment outside the classroom that augments students' academic learning and transforms them into work-ready graduates prepared for dynamic industry challenges.

Months of Internship / Industry Training / Apprenticeship / OJT experience alongside the graduation degree
Students no longer graduate as "Freshers" — every Agni graduate has relevant industry experience in their domain
Employability boost — graduates are acclimatized to dynamic workplace cultures and industry landscapes across Tamil Nadu and India
MoU & Introduction: The ACT management team visits your organization by appointment, presents the WIL program details to your authorities, and formalizes the partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Student Selection: Industry partners brief 2nd semester students about their organization and select 5–15 students based on minor assessment (if required) as per the agreed learning framework — deep learning or broad learning.
Mentoring & Evaluation: Students work alongside an identified industry mentor throughout the WIL program. At the end of each activity, the mentor also acts as evaluator, assigning credits or points based on expected outcomes.
