Placement Policy

Preamble

At Agni College of Technology, the placement of students graduating from undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs is recognized as a critical component of their academic journey. The Training and Placement (T&P) Cell plays a pivotal role in facilitating this process by preparing students for employment opportunities in various industries. The T&P Cell is dedicated to enhancing employability by organizing diverse training programs, residential camps, and incorporating Employability Enhancement Courses directly into the curriculum. These initiatives aim to align students’ skills with the expectations of both core and software industries.

Objectives

  • To provide structured training that equips students with the skills and competencies needed to secure employment upon graduation.
  • To regularly evaluate the progress and effectiveness of training sessions, ensuring students assimilate the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • To facilitate campus recruitment drives by inviting reputed companies, with the goal of achieving 100% placement for all eligible students by the completion of their academic programs.

Policy Guidelines

Placement Offer Categories

  • Core Offers: Employment opportunities specific to core industries, including manufacturing, production, civil engineering, and other department-specific roles.
  • Super Dream Offers: Offers with a Cost to Company (CTC) of ₹6.5 LPA and above.
  • Dream Offers: Offers with a CTC ranging between ₹4.5 LPA and ₹6.5 LPA.
  • General Offers: Offers with a CTC below ₹4.5 LPA.

Placement Rules

General Eligibility and Participation: Students may apply for placement opportunities in companies visiting the campus, provided they meet the eligibility criteria specified by the respective companies.

Offer Upgradation and Restrictions:

  • General Offer Upgradation: Students who secure a placement under the General Offer category are allowed to apply for companies offering Dream, Super Dream, or Core Offers to improve their placement outcome.
  • Dream offer Upgradation:
  • Placement Lock: Students securing a Super Dream Offer in CSE/IT streams or a Core Offer in other departments are considered placed and are not permitted to apply for further placement opportunities.

Selection Process and Company Criteria

Dress Code for Campus
Interviews

The placement cell has the right to deny entry to a student for the selection process on the grounds of unprofessional attire and shall be de-registered from placements. The following dress code is mandatory for all students participating in the placement process
Formal Attire: 
  • Male Students: Formal dress, a full-sleeved formal shirt, a tie (optional but recommended), formal black shoes, and a blazer (optional but recommended).
  • Female Students: Formal dress, formal shoes or heels, and minimal jewelry.
General Guidelines:
  • Clothes should be clean, ironed, and well-fitted.
  • Avoid wearing jeans, t-shirts, casual wear, or brightly colored clothing.
  • Maintain a neat and professional hairstyle.
  • Ensure that shoes are polished and in good condition.
  • Refrain from wearing excessive accessories or strong fragrances.
