2 weeks post that a Parents Teachers Meet was held on 06.03.21 (Saturday) and 07.03.21 (Sunday) to review the safe conduct of the 2-week on campus classes and the Covid-19 preventive measures followed in the college premises. Under the able guidance of Dr.Mahesh M.B.B.S., D.S.M., D.P.M., M.B.A., Dean (Administration), the college has implemented the following precautionary and preventive measures to immune the campus from the Covid-19 pandemic.

1. A thorough temperature check is done at the main gate for all the staff and students, on a daily basis, when they enter the campus.

2. Use of Hand Sanitizers and Face Masks are made compulsory for all staff and students.

3. Usage of “Vaayu Disinfectant Chamber” twice a day (during entry and exit) is made mandatory for all the students and staff. To facilitate easy access, the chamber is permanently placed at the reception.

 4. Daily temperature check at the hostel premises separately for boys and girls (twice a day) is being followed.

5. Social distancing and Space between students in the classrooms

Parents of hostellers and day scholars visited the campus on 6.03.21 (Saturday) and 07.03.21 (Sunday). As a part of Covid regulation, the parents were asked to come in four batches of 30 each. They were taken through a campus tour to inspect the Classrooms, Boy's and Girl's hostel, Cafeteria, Library, Playground and the Auditorium. During this campus tour, the parents inspected the implementation of Covid-19 regulation, regular sanitization, and other pandemic-preventive measures.

After the campus tour, all the parents met the Principal, HODs, Administrative Officer, Hostel Wardens, Librarian, Physical Director and on campus Staff Nurses deputed for Covid -19 inspection duty on a rotational shift basis. All parents were completely satisfied with the safety measures followed by the college administration and supported the management's decision to reopen the college with full strength from 08.03.21 (Monday) onwards.

Some of the key concerns raised by the parents were as follows:

  1. Hostel Students’ usage of Public Transport during weekend outings
  2. Implementation of Social Distancing to the maximum extent possible
  3. Regular conduct of Health Awareness Programmes and Yoga in the hostel
  4. Student counsellor’s interaction with every hostel student on a regular basis
  5. Extending College Bus facilities to some of the rural areas and interior villages in the neighbourhood.

The college administration assured the parents that all their concerns will be addressed and suggestions will be implemented within a month.
