Agni College of Technology stood tall among its grandaunts and their parents as the chief guest Mr. P. Periayanayagam, Group Chief Operating Officer, Trivitron Health Care, distributed the degrees to 347 undergraduant engineers, 13 postgraduates in engineering and 14 postgraduates in management. The 14th Graduation Day that held at the Vishnu Hippodrome in the college campus witnessed a Jubilant gathering of over 1200 participants that marked a new milestone for the institution. The lush green campus did shine in glory and pride on the Sunday Morning, as the graduates walked away with their heads held high in pride and privilege in front of their rejoiced parents.
The 18 university rank holders, including the gold medalist in Civil Engineering, stood apart with their usual charm and confidence that achievers alone adapt to. All the 18 Rank Holders were honored with mementos and cash Awards. Most of the graduates, who are employees of several leading MNCs, fondly recollected how indispensible and instrumental the industry tie-ups and its internships were during their four year period at Agni. All the undergraduates and postgraduates did unanimously admit that Agni College of Technology has always walked the talk and more appropriately so during the recent years with its “Practicing Engineering” paradigm, and the “300-startup” initiative that offers a phenomenal breakthrough for women entrepreneurs.
In his graduation day address, the chief guest, Mr. P. Periayanagam observed that “Engineers should not be afraid to dream big. They should be unsettled looking for more and more opportunities and challenges to explore. They should have a spark that construes in to an idea and work that idea smartly to realize their dreams. Current generations of Engineers are far more equipped than any of the previous generation and therefore should transform all the available resources and opportunities to create limitless avenues for personal and professional growth”
Mr. R.N. Jayaprakash, Managing Trustee, in his presidential address, wished all the Graduates to establish themselves as formidable professionals in their chosen field. He insisted the Graduates not to compromise with the quality of work and to be rest assured that they are second to none. He advised the Graduates to focus on their health and be fit physically and mentally and warned them not compare themselves with anybody as every individual is quit unique and manifested with a plethora of potential and it is up to the individual to experiment and explore the inner potential through perseverance.
Dr. C.V. Jayakumar welcomed the gathering.
