The Texas Instruments Innovation lab has designed around four key lab spaces: Gather,
Idea, Innovate and Manufacture, which together can create an ecosystem of innovation
where students across all disciplines can meet to be more creative and hone their
technical and leadership skills. The Texas Instruments provides demo TI kits to create a
wide variety of electronic designs. Agni College of Technology has established an Industry
Driven Technology Center in association with Texas Instruments.
AGNI College of Technology in collaboration with Systech Solutions has set up an
Employability Incubation Centre for empowering the students. AGNI-SYSTECH conducts
various training programs to impart the knowledge in the field of Data Sciences. It provides
industry exposure which enhances the undergraduate's work life through added
enthusiasm and commitment.
Agni College of Technology has established an Industry Driven Technology Centre in
association with Insignia Infotech, a franchise of Indian Institute of Hexaware Technology
for Training & Education in the field of Information Technology. Around 180 students are
trained for CCNA certifications with dedicated 60 hrs per year. The motivation of Agni - IIHT
is to organize globally recognised CISCO Certification program within Agni Campus.
Agni College of Technology in association with Science Society of India promotes and
encourages young budding minds to be a successful Scientific Researcher.Agni College of
Technology is hosting Indian Science & Engineering Fair (INSEF) both National and
Regional (Chennai) in collaboration with SSI. INSEF Fair is organized every year in the name
of Agni INSEF National Fair and Agni INSEF Regional Fair.Final Winners of the Fair will
represent I-SWEEEP International Fair - USA on behalf of Agni INSEF.

The M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) was established in 1988 by
Professor M. S. Swaminathan. The Foundation aims to accelerate the use of modern
agricultural practices for rural development and dissemination of technology to improve
lives and livelihoods of tribal and rural communities. MSSRF is engaged in research and
implementation of projects which have large extrapolation domain in respect of
imparting a pro-nature, pro-poor, pro-women and pro-sustainable livelihood orientation
of technology development and dissemination. ACT collaborates and cooperates with
MSSRF to promote and effectively use their resources to provide an enhanced

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Agni College of Technology and Niranjan ultrasound india(p)ltd was signed to set up a Centre of Excellence for Medical devices at the college premise. Dr.SRR. Senthil Kumar, Principal, ACT and Mr. Niranjan kumar, Managing Director, Niranjan ultrasound India Pvt ltd, signed the MoU in the presence of Mr.S.Krishnan, Director placement, Dr. Srinivasan Alavandar HOA, Dr.M.Kayalvizhi HOD BME and biomedical faculties on 09.03.2017 at College campus.This MOU commits to work together towards common goal of making biomedical engineers employable.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering has organized a 5 day technical training, Field Graduation Program- Level 1, by Niranjan Ultrasound Pvt Ltd, Calicut, from 17th July- 21st July 2017. Seven trainers representing Niranjan Ultrasound were present to train the students in the application and servicing of the medical equipments.
17th July 2017- ECG, BP apparatus and Nebulizer- The students were introduced to servicing and troubleshooting of the machines.
18th July 2017- Centrifuge, Digital Thermometer, Ultrasound and Foetal Doppler- The principle, different types, advancements and working of these equipments were conferred.
19th July 2017- Pulse Oximeter, Glucometer, Digital Photo Colorimeter, Syringe Pump and Infusion Pump- The principle of operation, working and circuit diagrams of the mentioned equipments were briefed.
20th July 2017- Patient Monitor, Defibrillator, Spirometer- The various port connections were shown, working and safety measures were briefed and demonstrated.
21st July 2017- Surgical Diathermy, BIPAP with Humidifier- the working, sterilization and troubleshooting of the equipments were discussed.
The feedback of the students were positive and that the training helped them gain immense practical exposure and understanding of the medical equipments in hospitals. The hands on training helped boost their level of confidence and knowledge in the field of instrumentation. On the whole the sessions were conducted in a very professional and efficient manner.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering jointly signed MoU with Shri SathyaSai Medical College and Research Institute (SSSMCI) Chennai. The MoU was signed by our honourable Principal Dr.S.R.RSenthil Kumar and Dean, Prof P F Kotur SSSMCI on 20.07.2017 at conference hall SSSMCI.

Industrial visit was organized to MERF by II and III year students on 29.11.2016. The students were given a short tour to the labs on speech department, audiometry and cochlear implants.

A batch of our students are executing their industrial projects in the company namely “Design and fabrication of tool defect and conditioning machine”, in the company. The students are trained in the respective areas and then made to execute their project.

The Managing Director of the company Mr.Viswesh.S has extended their helping hands and tie ups with the College for setting up of "Center of Excellence" in the field of "ROBOTICS", Student Internships, Projects & Placements.
Two batches of Mechatronics Engineering are undergoing internships in the company and are right now executing an industrial project namely “ CNC wire bending machine”, in the company. Subsequent to the completion of the project the students will be industry ready to get placed in the core companies.
